明星职业发展讲堂（STAR Career Talk）是商学院学生明星学生生涯发展体系（NUBS China STAR Student Development）中的核心栏目之一。明星职业发展讲堂邀请校内外职场明星分享个人成长心路和职场经验。通过聆听职场明星的成长故事，学生受到启迪，开始认知自我和世界的有趣人生之旅。每一位讲故事的职场明星，也在向同学们传递一种精神和信念。漫漫人生路上，愿这些精神的力量为砥砺前行的青年启航者带来光明和力量，帮助每一个独特的个体成为最闪亮的明星。

长期以来，咨询行业对于商科毕业生有着较大的吸引力，然而，较多学生对咨询行业的人才需求和职业规划并不十分了解。如何判断自己是否适合从事咨询工作？如何在咨询行业开启个人职业生涯，并成为一名优秀的业内专家？
本期明星职业发展讲堂，我们邀请到三位长期服务于顶尖咨询企业的宁诺校友，他们将结合咨询行业的发展动态和职场经验，分享咨询行业的职业轨道、个人发展的心路历程以及进入咨询行业所需做好的准备。本期职业发展讲堂，特设圆桌论谈环节，由三位咨询界校友与具有丰富咨询业界经验的商学院院长马丁 ·洛克特教授和国际商务与战略学副教授李磊副教授展开对话，探讨以下问题：

Making a Good Career in Consulting
Time: 18:30, 19th April

Consulting is an industry that always receives great attention in the field, and for business students, it has become a highly demanded profession. How do you know if a career in consulting is suitable for you? How can you start a personal career in the consulting industry and become an expert in the field?
In this STAR Career Talk, we have invited three UNNC alumni with extensive work experience in top consulting firms. They will incorporate both the development trends and workplace experience of the consulting firm into their sharing, including the consulting career paths, personal developments and preparations required to enter the consulting industry. A panel discussion session will be held after the alumni keynote speech. The three consulting alumni will dialogue with two business faculty with strong consulting backgrounds - Professor Martin Lockett, Dean of NUBS China, and Dr Lei Li, Associate Professor in International Business and Strategy. In the panel discussion, the following topics will be addressed:
How to choose and evaluate a good career starting point; How to understand if you are suitable for the consulting industry, and make corresponding career preparations and career plans; How to stand out from other job candidates when entering the consulting industry; How to make a breakthrough and achieve success in the competitive consulting industry.About the Speakers
